Cloud Automation Engineer III

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Automation Engineer III to join our Network and Cloud Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, and DevOps practices, with at least seven years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated cloud solutions across multi-cloud environments. This position is on site 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager.

· Automate cloud provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Pulumi, Jenkins).

· Collaborate with cloud & network architects and development teams to implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions in AWS and Azure.

· Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

· Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, cost, and security.

· Provide proactive problem solving by identifying, testing, and implementing solutions to prevent issues before they arise.

· Ensure compliance with security and governance policies through automated controls and audits.

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud environments and automation pipelines.

· Cross-train other team members.

· Integrate security best practices into infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.

· Provide technical expertise in cloud automation technologies to support the company's IT initiatives.

· Monitor cloud environments for security threats and anomalies using SIEM and cloud-native tools.

· Manage identity and access controls using IAM policies, roles, and least privilege principles.

· Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends to enhance automation capabilities.

· Ensure seamless integration of automation tools with existing systems and networks.

· Perform any additional duties assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· Minimum 7 years of experience in cloud engineering or automation roles.

· Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure).

· Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools.

· Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

· Proven experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps methodologies.

· Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

· Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud-native services.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert certification).

· Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., AWS Cloudwatch, Grafana, Dynatrace).

· Proven experience with container technologies (Kubernetes & Docker)

· Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
